They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Eating a healthy, filling breakfast is the best way to get your day started on the right foot. Whipping up a quick omelette takes only a few minutes. Here are some delicious omelette recipes to try!

 

Fun Breakfast Omelette Recipes

Italian Style Broccoli and Cheese Omelette

With a touch of olive oil and a medium skillet, you can bring this Italian-style omelette to life in your own kitchen. Once you’ve tried it, this omelet may find its way into your lunch and dinner menu as well.

Gather These Ingredients

  • 2 cups chopped broccoli florets (steamed)
  • 6 extra-large eggs
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2/3 cup Romano cheese (grated)
  • 1 tablespoon virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley (minced)

Whisk eggs, milk, salt and pepper in a large bowl. Mix in broccoli and 1/3 cup of Romano cheese. Heat a cast iron skillet on medium and pour in olive oil. Pour in the egg mixture and cook for 5 minutes. Remove and place in the oven on broil for 3-4 minutes or until eggs are fully cooked. Remove from oven and let stand for 3 minutes. Add remaining Romano cheese and sprinkle with parsley.

Baked Denver Omelette

A tasty omelette is rendered even better when all you have to do is slip it into a hot oven while you prepare your morning beverage of choice. This Denver-style omelette is going to become your new favorite!

Gather These Ingredients

  • 8 extra-large eggs
  • 1/2 cup half-and-half
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese (sliced or shredded)
  • 1 cup chopped ham
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup chopped peppers
  • 1/4 cup diced yellow onions

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Whisk the eggs and cream together in a large bowl. Then, add the remainder of the ingredients and gently mix. Grease a skillet or 9-inch baking pan with the olive oil and warm for 3 minutes. Remove and pour in the egg mixture and bake until golden brown (about 25 minutes).

Pecorino Chicken and Salad

This dish is elegant enough for a romantic dinner for two, but it's also appealing to the taste buds of children and can be considered family-friendly. If you're like most busy residents of apartments in Flagstaff, you sometimes struggle with coming up with a delicious and nutritious weeknight meal. This is where breakfast for dinner can come to your rescue. Breakfast foods were designed to be cooked quickly, but there's no rule that says they can only be eaten in the morning. Having them for dinner allows you to have a hot, filling meal in minutes after a long day at work or school. Here are a few suggestions to provide you with inspiration.

Sausage Breakfast Pizza

Sausage breakfast pizza is an excellent choice for those occasions when you're craving a combination of breakfast and dinner foods. Roll thawed frozen pizza or whole wheat bread dough into a pizza pan and bake until golden brown. Cook the sausage along with some sliced mushrooms in a skillet in the usual way, and slice or crumble it when it's cooked through and set aside. Scramble some eggs in the same skillet. Sprinkle your choice of shredded cheese over the crust, top with the eggs and the sausage mixture, cover with more cheese, and bake for about eight minutes or until the cheese melts. Serve with your favorite salsa, if desired. 

Chicken Sausage and Sweet Pepper Hash

Preparing this in a slow cooker ensures it's ready when you walk in the door at night. Brown a package of sliced chicken sausage with sliced apples in a skillet and remove, and then brown some sliced sweet onions.  Place the chicken and onions in a slow cooker with cubed red potatoes, thyme, black pepper, chicken broth, and chopped sweet peppers. Set your slow cooker to begin about six hours before you're scheduled to come home from work. Serve with fried eggs and your choice of breakfast bread.

You simply can't watch a movie without a delicious bowl of popcorn for snacking. But plain popcorn can get boring, and buying gourmet popcorn can get expensive. Fortunately, there are many ways to easily make your own. Here are six recipes to try, using 16 cups of hot popcorn for each one. Try one on your next movie night!

Ranch

Combine four tablespoons of melted butter with a packet of ranch seasoning. Toss the mixture over popcorn and add salt if desired. 

Three Cheese

Mix popcorn with two cups of shredded cheddar, one cup of grated parmesan and 1/2 cup of grated pecorino. Spread out on a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit until the cheese is melted. Season with salt. 

Bacon

Cook six slices of bacon until the bacon is crispy. Drain the bacon with paper towels and chop it up. Mix two tablespoons of bacon drippings and two tablespoons of melted butter over popcorn. Next, toss in the chopped bacon and add in 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper. Add salt if desired. 

Buffalo

In a small saucepan, add six tablespoons of butter and 1/3 cup buffalo sauce. Once melted, toss it in popcorn. Sprinkle 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese on top with celery leaves and salt as desired. 

Herb

Melt six tablespoons of butter. Add in 1/4 cup each of chopped parsley, chives, tarragon and chervil. Toss the mixture with popcorn and top off with two teaspoons of kosher salt. 

Movie Theater

Melt a stick of real butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Pour over popcorn and finish with two teaspoons of kosher salt.
